Coming in 2023
A Fresh Perspective on Washington County
We know Washington County is a vibrant and dynamic community with a rich past and a promising future. But, wouldn’t it be helpful to have a better understanding of the factors that contribute to the current quality of life, as well as what is needed to address our unique, and ever-changing, needs?
The Washington County Community Foundation is taking steps to initiate a first-of-its-kind, interactive community needs and assets resource called Community Snapshot.
The concept for this project was derived from a recent independent study that evaluated the WCCF’s engagement with donors, community leaders, and nonprofit partners. The survey results were abundantly clear — our constituents are looking to the Foundation to lead the effort to assess community needs and help identify the nonprofits working to address those needs.
The Community Snapshot project will provide an easy-to-use web-based resource for local leaders, donors, friends, and neighbors to examine our community through different lenses. Visitors will get a panoramic view of our community’s overall needs through concise narratives on seven broad focus areas, or they can zoom into the current, most-pressing needs of a particular nonprofit serving our area.
The full website will launch in 2023, but in the meantime, we are asking local nonprofits to register to participate so that their organization’s information can be included when the site goes live.
We are excited to begin this journey, and we hope that you are looking forward to seeing Washington County in an entirely new way!
