Titanium Titans

Nonprofit Overview

The Titanium Titans are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Canonsburg, PA. Our mission is to inspire area youth to participate STEM education ultimately leading to workforce development skills they will use to grow the industry in our own communities. Our high school program teaches hands-on workshops where students learn mechanical and electrical engineering, computer programming, design, teamwork, and communication. From these trainings, our 25 students then spend 10,000+ hours constructing a multifunctional robot for the FIRST Robotics challenge. This year, using 230 unique parts that we designed, CADed and machined, we constructed a 3 ft x 3 ft, 125 lb robot. We then competed with other FRC teams to show off our hard work. This year we won the Gracious Professionalism Award and placed 3rd in the state. During off season, we use our robot to promote our mission and introduce younger students to robotics engineering.

Current Needs

Vital to the survival of our team and our ability to continue providing STEM education to the underserved populations of Washington and the surrounding counties, is the funding and expansion of the team. Expanding our workshop space is essential to growing and maintaining our organization. In addition to this, we are in need of funding to purchase, new machines, materials, and supplies for our outreach programs.
