The Foundation, comprised of volunteers dedicated to supporting our public library, help by funding the Peters Township archivist, assisting with the NEA Big Read and Read Local Eat Local, buying and upgrading technology, supporting the seed library, and sponsoring Novel November, which brings well-known writers to Peters Township. Past speakers include Yaa Gyasi, Tim O'Brien, Anna Quindlen, Taylor Jenkins Reid, and Andy Weir. The 2023 Novel November will feature V. E. Schwab. We invite everyone to come to this exciting event.

The Foundation is committed to making PTPL the strongest public library possible and to continuing to serve the library's patrons in any way that we can.

Current Needs

Our greatest need is for increased financial resources to support important library projects and initiatives, including the upgrade of some aging public computers in the library, along with an upgrade to the outdated AV equipment that is used for library programming. These upgrades will directly impact patrons’ library experience. Additionally, we need to fund the library’s Read Local Eat Local program, a wildly successful annual program that highlights and introduces local authors to the community.

Lastly, we have a need to fund the ever-growing Novel November visiting author program, which has become a pillar of the library’s literary arts programming and brings in hundreds of attendees every year. We also support initiatives like the popular Seed Library and the Peters Township Archives, which helps to preserve the township’s rich history and helps residents feel even more connected to the township and our amazing public library.
