St. John 23 Interfaith Food Pantry
Nonprofit Overview
We are a community-based organization committed to supporting neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Our market-style pantry operates on a shopping model, allowing individuals and families to select the foods and essentials that best meet their needs. By providing choice, we reduce waste, encourage healthy decisions, and restore dignity to the food assistance experience. We offer a wide variety of foods including fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy and shelf-stable items. Beyond food, our pantry provides household supplies and personal care items, helping families stretch their resources further. At St John 23 Interfaith Food Pantry, we believe that access to food is a basic human right. By welcoming every neighbor with compassion and respect, we work to ease immediate hardship while fostering hope, stability, and stronger community connections.

Current Needs
Recent changes in state and federal funding have made it increasingly difficult to keep our shelves stocked. Programs that once supported local food pantries are being downsized or eliminated, and our organization is taking on the burden of filling the gap. At the same time, demand for our services continues to grow, making community support more important than ever.
Our greatest needs at this time are monetary donations and food contributions. Financial support is especially critical, as it allows us to purchase fresh produce, meat, dairy, and other essential items in bulk, ensuring families have reliable access to healthy, nutritious food. Monetary gifts also give us flexibility to fill inventory gaps and respond quickly to changing needs.
In-kind donations remain equally important. Non-perishable food, household supplies, and personal care products are always in demand and can be dropped off during designated hours at our pantry (see our website for more details). These items directly benefit the neighbors we serve and help stretch limited resources further.
Every contribution - whether financial or in-kind - makes a meaningful difference. With your support, we can continue to provide choice, dignity, and hope to individuals and families facing hardship, even as government resources shrink. Together, we can strengthen our community and ensure that no neighbor goes without the essentials they need.
