Washington City Mission

Nonprofit Overview

The Washington City Mission is a Christ-centered rehabilitative homeless shelter. We facilitate the transformation of those who have descended into homelessness, hunger and despair by providing food, shelter, case management, Christian based counseling, and life-changing programming. Our goal is to help each person who walks through our doors to become a healthy, productive member of society.

Current Needs

In the past few years, we have noticed a growing need for women's shelter services in the region. We get as many as 10 to 12 calls a day from women who need a place to stay, get back on their feet, and find their way back to independent living. That is why we have prayerfully decided to construct a 50-bed homeless women's shelter on our campus in Washington. With the help of many individual donors, corporations, churches, and foundations, a significant amount has been raised, but we still need your help! Nearing our goal of $7 million, we plan on breaking ground late Spring. When the project is completed in 2025, we will be able to welcome these women with open arms and give them shelter, hope, and most importantly, a personal encounter with the love of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your support!
