Nonprofit Overview

We are committed to living out the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:31–46 by serving our community in practical, meaningful ways. Access to enough nutritious food is a fundamental human need. When families face food insecurity, they are forced to make painful choices—like skipping meals, watering down food, or choosing between groceries, rent, or medication. No one in our community should have to live this way. Food insecurity is not only about hunger—it’s about dignity, health, opportunity, and justice. When families are nourished, children learn better, adults work stronger, and communities thrive.

Since launching our first mini food pantry in October 2021, we have provided nearly 21,000 pounds of food to individuals and families in Washington and Allegheny Counties. In June 2022, we hosted our first annual Summer Outreach in Midway, Pennsylvania—a free community event featuring food, games, a petting zoo, local resources, and more.

Current Needs

Our greatest need is funding to support our mini food pantry program, which serves as the heart of our ministry. We currently operate seven pantries throughout the Greater Pittsburgh Area, with a vision to expand to 25 locations.

  • Construction Costs: Each pantry requires approximately $100 to build.
  • Annual Maintenance: Ongoing care, including paint, mulch, and repairs due to weather or vandalism, costs about $25-$50per pantry per year.
  • Program Expenses: Additional costs, typically $100, cover food replenishment and travel to stock and maintain the pantries.

This program is our most significant and ongoing financial need, and your support directly helps us provide food security, hope and dignity to families in our community.
